[Because I MISS you idiots]

[Numbers from here. Even though I ignored you ALL.]

⑪ Sneaking in → You're stealing a diamond or sneaking in to kick some bad guy butt, but whatever it is, you have to practice stealth.

In the middle of Siberia, there's a facility. It's rumored to be one of the most guarded facilities in the whole world, and for a very important reason. Within those walls is a portal to the other side. Not the other side of Russia, or the world, or even to the other side of the universe. It is a portal to the afterlife. In days long past, people came there seeking to converse with their dead loved ones, to see them one last time. But no one has visited the facility in years. Decades, even. Some aren't even sure the facility still exists and wonder if the portal just ended up swallowing itself and taking everyone in the facility with it.

There's only one way to find out.

It's easy to get around when your dad is a god. Originally, he'd come here to check out the radioactive wolves. Maybe talk to them. See if they grew extra heads. That would be neat!

But they haven't. Although, a new, interesting smell has caught Fenris' attention. It's the smell of magic. Or maybe space-time energy. Not really that different, when you think about it. He doesn't know how to differentiate, just that it's a trail to follow for his innate tracking instincts.

So, he follows it, all the way back to the source, a black wolf on a black night, silent as-- OMG, A SQUIRREL. CATCH IT. EAT IT.

Right. Sneaking. Yes. He must be quiet.

On the other hand, he is not the only thing not being quiet. There are other sounds, too, and Fenris is curious, so he heads towards them, wanting to find out who else is tracking the magic. Or the radioactive wolves.

It's always something.

Riddick isn't there for anything so potentially noble, or at least academic. The problem with long trips across space, he's always found, besides the high likelihood that something's going to break sooner or later (or maybe that's just his luck), is that they generally pass faster in cryo. And in order to actually make sure you get there you rely pretty heavily on pre-entered co-ordinates and flight paths.

It's easy enough to get a number wrong and end up a few systems away from where you meant to.

But a quick scan when navigation wakes him up, or at least nudges his attention and relinquishes its hold on nerves and muscles, and he decides maybe this misstep isn't so bad after all. Nice and quiet, nobody around for miles other than a singular blip here and there. Could be worse places.

Figures he'd land the one place close to life signs.

He bundles up, having at least learned to anticipate that unexpected cold and snow is more than occasionally a thing, and heads out into the elements to see what exactly the big building out there is all about.
